Book Reviews of Vegan Lunch BoxBook Review: Inspiration for a healthier lunch and childhood Summary: 5 Stars
I have been reading Jen's blog for a year or so and am so inspired by her! I am a chef, nutrition educator, and parent. I try to pack healthy and fun lunches for my two young children but am always limited by my own imagination. Jen's book is the boost I need to pack something more than pb&j and carrot sticks. I always feel so much better as a mom and nutrition educator when I pack a fun healthy lunch. Thank you so much Jennifer! May this book inspire many others to pack nutritious foods for their children!!
Book Review: Great for adults, too! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this book after reading the Vegan Lunch Box blog for several months. I don't have kids, but the recipes are great for me! I often am away from a microwave at lunch time, so finding recipes and suggestions for food that taste great, don't have to be reheated, are pretty healthy and are vegan is so wonderful. I've only had the book a week, but I've alredy made several of the recipes. They're pretty easy and fast. This is a must have book for everyone who eats lunch, vegans, non-vegans, kids and adults!
Book Review: GREAT book, No Matter what you Eat! Summary: 5 Stars
I've been waiting for Jennifer's book since she first mentioned it on her blog. Her ideas are fabulous, and creative, and have helped me to introduce my own children to a huge variety of foods that they wouldn't have EVER eaten otherwise! The recipe tips are great, and there are enough ideas in there to keep all the schmoo's happy in your house! Even if you aren't vegan, it's a great resource to include more fruits and veggies, grains nuts and seeds in to your daily intake!
Great job Jennifer!
Book Review: A great addition to ANY cookbook collection...vegan or not! Summary: 5 Stars
I have to say that I am addicted to the author's blog and I preordered my copy on day one. I am not vegan. Heck, I'm not even vegetarian, just someone who is trying to eat a bit lower on the food chain and make my footprint on this planet a bit smaller. Vegan Lunch Box is filled with terrific, easy recipes that my 8 year old mostly vegetarian son loves. As a collector of books in general and cookbooks in particular, I knew I had to have this one in my collection. I am thrilled with it.
Book Review: Not a vegan or even vegitarian, but this book shines Summary: 5 Stars
I'm always looking for new ideas for my lunch. I'm usually pretty boring: Soup, fruit, bread. And here's a whole book full of ideas! Healthy and appealing lunches for everyday and special occasions. And need ideas for things to bring to a potluck? Most of these recipes can be multiplied to serve as many as you like. I took the Almond Sweet Potatoes to our Thanksgiving celebration and they were a big hit. A terrific book for families, singles, teens - anyone looking for a good lunch!
