After reading about Gabriel and his family in an article, I immediately searched my local bookstores but came up empty handed. I placed orders at two large retailers who could not promise they would ever be able to get the book in for certain due to supply and demand so I hit the internet to buy even a used copy if possible. I placed my order and upgraded shipping to receive it ASAP. I could not put this book down as soon as it arrived. I finished it the same day I started it. I cannot thank the authors enough for putting into words what they experienced and allowing me to get to know Gabriel. I do not doubt that I will never forget him. I feel as though he has a permanent place in my heart, and being a healthcare professional that unfortunately deals with this exact scenario at times, it allows me to understand more than ever before so many things from "the other side." I will be forever touched by this beautiful little boy's life story. This book should be required reading for all healthcare professionals, as it reminds us how precious each moment in life and death is. I cannot count the number of times Gabriel has flooded my mind since finishing the book. What a remarkable little man to be able to touch people he never met. Thank you to the authors for allowing others to catch just a glimpse of your childs life and experiences with him. I am forever grateful that this book was written.
