Book Reviews of Wall and PieceBook Review: Great collection of graffiti art. Summary: 5 Stars
Banksy is a great artist. This book is 240 pages of both his graffiti and his "gallery" or more "Piece" art. I think he is an innovator and inspiration to all artists. We could all learn something from Banksy. If you like this book you might also like some Shepard Fairey work. Also check out Banksy's website at http://www.Banksy.co.uk its really great.
Book Review: Curious about this 'Banksy' character Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased this book after Banksy's wall sold on Ebay for near $400,000! I was intirgued to see more and found the book to be quite interesting. For an art book virgin it is interesting and a great piece of pop culture. I would recommend it to anyone-but caution that it is probably not appropriate for young children due to some of the content.
Book Review: love his work Summary: 5 Stars
This is a delightful book of a very creative graffiti/street artist. Banksy is unarguably a massive egotist and shameless self-promoter, and one may argue with his approach to what a street artist can do (anything he wants, according to Banksy). But those are mere quibbles compared to the amazing vision and wit that he possesses.
Book Review: Any fan of Banksy or stencil art should have this book Summary: 5 Stars
Wall and Piece is a fantastic coffee-table conversation point to have, after the disappointment of Extencilism due to it's tiny size, Wall and Piece was a joy to get hold of - containing art both of funny and black humour, and a good 100 pages or so. Contains a good spread of Banksy's work... before the council drones got to it!
Book Review: Worth every penny Summary: 5 Stars
It's a great book, one that definitely puts Banksy in its rightful place even in the minds of people that have no idea about urban art and art anarchism. Insight from Banksy himself, the hooded mistery, photographs of some of his most famous pieces, this book has it all. A must read for any and everyone.
