I purchased this book before my scheduled surgery, read it cover to cover, reread it highlighting important passages and have reread it to reaffirm my choices and checklist the passages since my surgery. Would not go through all of this (six months of prep) without this marvelous book. I think it covers it all or leads you where to investigate reference this life-changing procedure. This book is great! It breaks down anything and everything you could possibly want to know about weight loss surgery and presents it in an easy-to-read manner. As someone getting ready to have a gastric bypass I found this book very helpful and will keep it around me for a long time to come...I'll need it! Of all the books I've read regarding WLS, this is, by far, the most comprehensive. It covers everything from making the decision and dealing with insurance companies to post-op healing and the life-long impact surgery has.
I can't speak highly enough about this book and would suggest it for anyone having (or considering) bariatric surgery.
