Book Review: Enjoyable book

I bought this book for my 2 y/o daughter and she has enjoyed it. Here are the pro's and con's:
Pro's: I liked that this book talks about all the fun Christmas traditions and gives the message at the end that all these things are great, but they aren't why we have Christmas. There are a few pages with a good message telling about Christmas being the celebration of Christ's birth.
Con's: I found some of the writing and rhymes awkward and corny. The illustrations are also a little on the boring side. Not very colorful or exciting to look at. The book doesn't actually tell the Christmas story, just tells you that Christmas is about Christ.
So, overall, I thought this was a good Christmas book with a nice message, but it's not as great as the other rave reviews claim it to be.
