Book Reviews of Whore (Triple Crown Publications Presents)Book Review: Whatever doesnt kill me only makes me stronger! Summary: 5 Stars
Tanika Lynch was a new author i was trying out and i have to say that I was very pleased and if u are considering this book please buy do not secound guess this book! I was at work reading this book none stop. Kamone was 1 tuff cookie and i would love to meet a man like Lucci that doesnt hold ur pass over ur head and picks u up when u feel God has given up on u.....The bond that Kamone had for her brother and sister is unconditional and she is a perfect example of just because u have had a messed up crazy life and done things that u r not prod of does not mean u should give up.....After all she has been through and wanted to give up she didnt and found it in God to move on....David.....idk what to say about that sicko but she shouldnt have never opened the door cuz he sho would have been told to leave whatever he was bringing on the porch or sent the maid to get it while i was gone! all in all never judge a book by its cover...
Book Review: wow!!! and i thought this book was really gonna be good Summary: 3 Stars
i read all of the book reviews on amazon before i decide to buy them. i thought that this book was gonna be really good, but all in all it was ok for me. i rated it with 3 stars because i did like the beginning of the book and how it talked about Kamone and her family but the ending??? the ending was soo bad for me that im sad that i spent $15dollars on the book! Come on now!!! How is this suppose to be a happy ending? A NOW 16 year old gets married to an older drug dealer and is pregnant with twin boys and goes to a school or wherever she went to ,to talk to young girls about allllll that she has been through!! From reading the story, she didnt go to school but got a LITTLE help but they never said that she went back...i could understand if the author did an epilogue for 5 or 6 years later or something...i'm kinda mad....i would have liked to hear more or something but ...idk if i wanna read more from this author...
Book Review: Excellent read Summary: 4 Stars
Tanika Lynch great job! I purchased this book based on Amazon and customer reviews and after I was done reading it I understand why this book was rated 4 & 5 stars.
"Whore" is indeed my favorite out of the all the TCP titles. Whore is a fast pace novel that's very captivating & graphic...I honestly couldn't put the book down. Lynch wrote a wonderful piece of literary art. This book had my undivided attention and I believe that may even be an understatement. "Whore" let it be known it is okay to give out second chances. My heart went out to Kamone and her family. The struggle was unbearable and I wouldn't even wish it on my worst enemy. When she cried I cried, when she was confused I was confused, and finally when she was happy so was I. I appreciate and absolutely loved the realism this book had, felt as if I was on the emotional rollercoaster with the characters.
Book Review: Outstanding Summary: 5 Stars
Oh my goodness, where do I begin with this book. A co-worker of mine passed it on to me after another one finished reading it. She said you have got to read this book! Well needless to say, I was finished in 2 1/2 days. Captivating from the first page. You cannot believe everything Kamone has endured in her 14 years of life. From her parents to everyone in her life - SCANDALOUS!!! It's so sad to think this really goes on. What makes this book so life-size is the graphic detail that enables you to be a part of the book and feel every emotion Kamone is going through. Some of the detail was extremely hard to read, especially since I have a daughter the same age. Well Ms. Lynch, congratulations on every recovery in your life and I look forward to reading more of your work!!! I will be passing this book on to many!
Book Review: Never judge a book... Summary: 4 Stars
buy it's cover or it's title. When I was first given this title I pushed it to the side. I am not the biggest fan of urban drama, some of it isgood, some of it is great, but a large chunk of it is garbage. When I finished Ms. Lynch's tale, I was mad at myself for playing her like that. As I sat up reading I could not put this one down. My heart went out to Kamone and her struggle to make a better life for & her two little siblings. I hope that this story comes from an imaginitive mind and not personal experience, I wouldn't wish this struggle on anyone. The "believeablilty" of this book helps to add to the appeal of the story, I dug the ending and am looking forward to reading the next story frm Ms. Lynch. I thank you for sharing and reminding me to again to take a closer look...
