Book Reviews of Wine JournalBook Review: Quality journal, wish had more specifics Summary: 4 Stars
I like the journal overall alot. It is especially nice if you are looking to put entire labels into the journal, because unlike many of its competitors it provides a plethora of space for label insertion.
My main criticism of the journal comes from the supplied categories with which to rate a wine. The prior journal I had (which I am now unable to find) had a great section for identifying aromas and flavors from a preset list that I very much enjoyed.
Overall however, I very much enjoy the journal and would recommend it to someone in search of a wine journal.
Book Review: Simple and just what I needed Summary: 5 Stars
This isn't a fancy journal with space for lots of thoughts and descriptors for your wine. It's cute with a spot for labels, the name and other info from the bottle label and your comments as well as a small rating system. It's compact enough to fit nicely in a kitchen or bar drawer but not small enough to tote around easily at a festival or to a tasting. It's a nice journal but it has one drawback--the pages aren't removeable so you only have so many pages for red, white or blush and you can't take pages from a little used section and add them to your favorite section.
Book Review: Very nice wine journal Summary: 4 Stars
This is a great wine journal. I've been meaning to get one of these things and I'm glad I went with this product. The journal is broken down into "reds," "whites," and "specialty."
I only wish that the wine labels could go side-by-side with the wine information (instead of front and back of page) but it's still a great journal!
Book Review: Good journal for the price Summary: 3 Stars
I gave this as gifts to my wine loving friends. There's a place for the wine's bio, label and notes. Since we all live close enough to Napa to do several wine tastings a year, it is nice to have something to keep them all straight long after I've exceeded my tasting limit for the day.
Book Review: nice book Summary: 4 Stars
This is a nicely done book, lots of room for reviews, and a good amount of room for the label itself. It is sectioned in half for red and whites, plus a section for 'specialty' wines (dessert, port, etc). Since we rarely drink whites, we plan on just ignoring the section titles.
