Book Review: Informative and Interesting
Summary: 4 Stars
This book gives a good picture through case studies of cranial-sacral, somatic emotional release and some other modalities. It definately peaked my interest and when I took a seminar for continuing education hours, I was pleasantly surprised to discover how well it actually works.
Feeling the rhythm of the cerebro-spinal fluid for myself was like a new world opening up.
It was a great seminar and we all (students and therapists)left changed with new awareness and respect for the amazing human body.
We are fearfully and wonderfully made!
This particular book does not proceed to describe the practice of cranial-sacral though. It just gives case study accounts to show what can be achieved using this modality.

This is a well written book on Cranial Sacral Therapy which explains what it is and who can benefit from it and how it came about by the man (Upledger) who discovered it. I am a massage therapist, however, it is written in language that the non-professional would probably be able to understand and comprehend. (I would recommend this book rather than "Cranial Sacral Therapy" (also written by Upledger) as that book is a text book written for those who will be taking the classes and therefore highly technical and loaded with medical terms the average person probably wouldn't know or understand.)Book Review: book review

I thought the book was an easy read and it allowed me to appreciate the power of the techniques utilized. It does not go into how you can evaluate and treat a person but it allows you to look at how these techniques can change the lives of many different patient populations. I read this book since it is required before taking a cranial sacral 1 class but I think I will have a better appreciation of the bigger picture in regards to my learning and how much work I still need to put forth to get to the level of mastery of these techniques.Book Review: a very readable and helpful book

being a freelance writer i need to keep up with health issues and i found this book not only readable but also helpful in explaining the link between the brain and physical/emotional health. my nephew who has attention deficit disorder is being treated using CST (craniosacral therapy) and has improved immensely,so the book helped his mother and i to apply and understand some of the techniques. i recommend this book especially for mothers with autistic children or children with learning disabilities.Book Review: Incredible book

This book is absolutly incredible. It had me drawn in from page one. Dr. Upldeger writes in a way that is fun, easy to understand and intreguing. It opened a whole new world to me. There are a few ideas that seemed a little "out there" but as I took one of the upledger classes and as I've used Craniosacral Therapy in my practice I have seen that the body has no limits...and anything is possible. I would HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone.
